E Ala Voyaging Academy is a Native Hawaiian 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization serving the Waiʻanae community and Hawaiʻi since 2014. E Ala waʻa, a 45ft double-hulled canoe, was constructed in 1981 and birthed out of Pōkaʻī, Waiʻanae in 1982. The hālau waʻa and non-profit organization was established in 2014 to help promote our traditional voyaging practices through innovative applications in todayʻs society.​
